Responsible use
Scotchy is for adults 21 and older. Use it only where alcohol purchase and consumption are legal, and never drink and drive.
Scotchy does not sell alcohol, arrange delivery, process payments, or verify store inventory.
Profile data
Your taste profile is cached on this device. It can include your display name, age confirmation, bottle statuses, dislikes, personal notes, comparison picks, theme, and shopping filters. On the web, the cached profile is hidden while you are signed out or a different account is loading.
New web profiles require a verified email account. Your email and taste profile are stored securely online so they can synchronize across your signed-in devices.
Sharing
Other members cannot browse your profile. Export creates a JSON file containing your Scotchy profile; share it only with people you want to receive your likes, dislikes, wants, notes, and display name. Scotchy cannot revoke a copy after it is shared.
Network
The app connects to Scotchy's account and profile service when you sign in, and loads bottle photos from HTTPS image hosts such as brand, retailer, and public product-image sources. Scotchy does not use ads or analytics.
Feedback
When you submit feedback while signed in, Scotchy sends your message, account email, app version, and basic device details through its account and email services to support. Copy and Email reports contain the same diagnostics. Scotchy does not automatically attach ratings, bottle lists, dislike reasons, or notes; anything you type is included. If direct sending is unavailable, Scotchy opens an editable email draft instead.
